The ISS-Frankfurt/M. publishes the magazine "Migration und Soziale Arbeit". The publication is issued three times a year and 

  • provides information on the  specific life situations  of migrants in Germany and their specials needs in terms of social services
  • it opens the awareness for the cultural and cooperation and equality, promotes an intercultural dialog and motivates mutual learning processes  
  • it documents intercultural practical projects in educational, youth and social areas and contributes to intercultural openness in the social sector
  • it is dedicated to the needs of migrants and opens up a critical dialog between specialists of various origins and professions

Each issue contains articles on migration-specific topics such as psycho-social care of migrants, on ageing abroad, life designs of young migrants or the latest issues concerning policy on foreigners and aliens law.
A detailed bibliography offers the latest information on important new book releases. 

Up to 1995, it appeared under the name 'Informationsdienst zur Ausländerarbeit'.
